Accountable Care Organizations Marketing Strategy
Project Description
Company Background
Quest Diagnostics empowers people to take action to improve health outcomes. Derived from the world’s largest database of clinical lab results, our diagnostic insights reveal new avenues to identify and treat disease, inspire healthy behaviors and improve health care management. Quest annually serves one in three adult Americans and half the physicians and hospitals in the United States, and our 45,000 employees understand that, in the right hands and with the right context, our diagnostic insights can inspire actions that transform lives.
Project Background
- ACO’s (Accountable Care Organizations) are expanding in the US
- These organizations are group of Doctors, Physicians/Hospitals and come together to coordinate care for their patients
- Often, ACO’s have an offering for Laboratories like Quest
Project Description
- Quest has several contracts with ACO’s in the SW region (TX,NM,LA,MS) and nationwide
- We need to expand our access through ACO’s
- We need to understand our current contracts and current relationships and see how to maintain and grow our current ACO business (These contracts are usually not exclusive, so even with a contract, the Physicians do not have to send their Lab work to Quest)
- Additionally, we need to research and understand our new opportunities and put together a strategical and tactical plan for the region
- We already have basic overview, but could use a better Project Structure and definition of our true opportunities
- The majority of the work would be research based and collaboration with our Sales team
