Prosthetics Marketing Analysis and Strategy
Project Description
Vessl has designed a whole new way to wear a prosthetic leg, the only automatically adjusting prosthetic socket for lower limb amputees. It redistributes pressure around the residual leg in response to a change in limb volume, a common problem that all amputees face, to maintain a snug fit. The pain associated with poor fit between the socket and residual leg is debilitating, so Vessl’s socket allows amputees to walk around all day comfortably.
The project entails preforming in depth market research to determine a marketing strategy. The market research should provide Vessl with details on the size of the prosthetics market, with special emphasis on the North American and European markets and adjustable sockets. It should also summarize factors affecting the market, emerging technologies and fabrication methods, major acquisition deals, and any other relevant information. The research should provide Vessl with a comprehensive understanding of the market and their potential stake within it. Any strategy that the UTDSolv team can propose for Vessl’s go-to-market path would be an asset.
